First the air passes through a pre-filter which remove all particles bigger than 200 μm. The air is then moved via a ventilator housing into a cartridge filter.
Inside the filter, the air is irradiated by UVC light with a wavelength of 254 nm and an intensity of 392 μW/cm2 which destroys DNA/RNA of bacteria, viruses, and fungi in the air.
Next the air passes through a titanium dioxide-coated filter which in combination with the UVC light destroys the wall of the cells of the microorganisms.
After that the air passes through an activated carbon filter, that absorbs odors and other particulate pollutants and finally the air passes through a HEPA 14 filter. Lastly, the sterilized air is re-circulated into the room.
HOW AIRDIATE 6 STERILISES THE AIR

THE FILTER
Almost every device on the market boasts the use of HEPA filter. Did you know there are still huge differences between the type and importantly the quantity of HEPA filter?

STUDIES

Extensive field studies at Denmark's largest and leading hospital have proven the AIRDIATE 6's capability in various realistic healthcare environments.
During the studies, air sampling was conducted to measure levels of contamination. In addition, microbial load on multiple surfaces were also tested.
The data (below) shows a snapshot of results collected from an intensive care unit, over an extended period of time.

Measuring the impact of AIRDIATE 6 on surface contamination levels

It is logical to assume that reducing the level of air contamination will have a positive impact on surface contamination. After all, everything in the air will eventually settle on nearby surfaces.

The data clearly confirms the correlation between reduction of air contamination leads to reduced surface contamination.
Baseline air contamination levels were taken for 3 days, prior to the addition of the AIRDIATE 6. The levels ranged from 90 - 120 CFU/m3.

The data confirms that even in the cleanest of hospital environments, the AIRDIATE 6 is still capable of substantially reducing air contamination levels.
